Little Apostle Chapter 13

"The Decision of the Saint Party"

After eating the grilled fish, it was decided that they would stay overnight to relieve everyone's fatigue.

They would sleep from evening until sunrise and then head to the lake.

Minato, Taro, and Pipi slept inside the cave, while the saint entourage set up their tents outside.

"You don't need to hold back~"

"Woof woof~"

"No, it's alright. We have plenty of camping supplies."

Minato thought that there were various reasons for them to decline, such as being women and needing to change.

"I see. If you get cold, feel free to come over anytime!"

"Woof woof~"

With that, Minato and the others went to sleep inside the cave.

Minato clung to Taro belly, and Pipi snuggled into Taro's fur before falling asleep.

Thanks to Taro fur, it was warm even without a blanket.

After Minato and the others had fallen asleep, the archer Sanya spoke up.

"Agnes... I started thinking about my younger brother back in my hometown."

Sanya had tears in her eyes.

"I understand. Surely, the Oracle of the Supreme God means to protect Minato."

The Oracle itself was to dispel the spirits.

However, considering the density of miasma around here and the strength of the curserer, it would be difficult for the saint power alone to dispel them.

In other words, in order to fulfill the Oracle of the Supreme God, it was essential to add Minato and his companions to their party.

"That's right. It's doubtful if we could even reach the lake by ourselves."

As Gilbert muttered this, a heavy atmosphere settled in.

The fact that Taro defeated a Grade One curserer with a single blow was terrifying.

For the saint party, this was an opponent they could barely defeat, and there were several of them around here.

The Grade One curserer that Taro defeated was the third one the saint party has encountered.

If Minato and his companions hadn't come to help, the saint party might have been wiped out.

   The saint party wasn't weak.

To say they were weak would be an understatement, they were considered the best A-class party, closest to S-class.

This classification was based on the ratings provided by temples and adventurer guilds, as well as the unified ranking of parties and combatants.

The highest S-class was reserved for parties and warriors who saved countries or left their mark in history by defeating disaster-level monsters.

S-class rankings often involved posthumous awards, and there were more periods without an S-class than with one.

The A-class ranking that the saint party received was essentially the highest achievable rank.

B-class parties are elite veterans, among the best in large cities.

C-class parties are relied upon by everyone and D-class parties are considered competent.

E-class consists of individuals with two to five years of relatively new experience, while F-class represents rookies in their first year.

As for the curserer, there are four classifications.

The strongest are the Special Grade curserer, capable of bringing about a country's downfall, surpassing even disasters in terror.

Next are the Grade One curserer. Dealing with them requires multiple elite S-class or A-class parties.

Even a Grade Two curserer requires either an A-class party or several B-class and C-class parties.

The weakest, Grade Three curserer, still needs a C-class party.

In other words, a saint party capable of handling a Grade One curserer on its own is extraordinarily powerful.

Perhaps to change the heavy atmosphere, the senior temple knight Hector spoke up cheerfully.

"Saint, have you noticed? The statues here is dispelling the surrounding miasma."

"Yes, and not just that, but this garnet stone..."

Saint Agnes raised the garnet stone she received from Taro earlier.

"It's like a powerful talisman. Wearing it can protect you from most miasma and curses."

"No wonder... I felt much lighter."

Archer Sanya held the garnet stone tightly in both hands, treasuring it.

Mage Marcel muttered as he looked at the entrance of the cave.

"...Why would the gods subject Minato to such a trial?"

It was a question the saint and temple knights couldn't voice to the gods.

While the saint and temple knights remained silent, Gilbert and the archer spoke up.

"I don't know. Maybe they didn't think much about it after all."

"Maybe it's to have him subdue the curserer around here?"

"To entrust such a task to a child... That's quite audacious."

Anticipating a disrespectful discussion, the saint spoke with a smile.

"At any rate, it is the will of the gods to protect Minato-san and Taro-sama."

"Yes. The gods must have much deeper considerations beyond our understanding."

With that, Senior Temple Knight Hector concluded the conversation.

Everyone in the saint party had decided in their hearts to treat Minato and Taro kindly.
