Little Apostle Chapter 03

"Minato and Taro Reincarnated Lives"

One week had passed since Minato and Taro reincarnated in a different world.

They had already adapted to this new environment.

They were sent into the depths of a vast forest, at least ten kilometers away from a human settlement.

"Taro, the bonfire is ready!"

"Woof~"

Minato skewered a branch through the fish that Taro had caught.

then lit the firewood they had gathered and cooked the fish over the flames.

"Woof woof!"

Taro wagged his tail, eagerly asking for the firewood to be lit quickly.

"Yeah, leave it to me. My magical energy is about to come."

"Woof woof!"

Both Minato and Taro could use fire magic.

However, Taro fire magic was too powerful, so it was Minato job to start the fire.

"Grrrr! Fire!"

With determination, Minato pointed his right index finger into the firewood, While shouting loudly.

His left hand rested on his hip, and his legs were spread shoulder-width apart.

A small flame emerged from his fingertip, igniting the firewood.

"Woof woof!"

"Looks cool, right? Thanks. But, maybe this pose is better with my left hand?"

"Woof~"

Minato and Taro were engrossed in perfecting their cool poses.

Minato body was that of a five-year-old, and this influenced his mental state, making him somewhat childlike.

Therefore, it was natural for him to yearn for cool poses.

Just as one can't feel joy when the head hurts, the body condition has a significant impact on the mind.

"Oh, it smells really good now."

"Woof woof."

Taro especially enjoyed the fish that Minato had cooked with his fire.

"The taste doesn't change. But, it's more delicious when it's cooked! Besides, eating it raw Will upsets your stomach."

"Woof~"

Once the fish was cooked, Minato and Taro shared it.

It was just a plain grilled fish without even a sprinkle of salt.

"Let's dig in!"

"Woof~"

Minato took a big bite of the river fish.

His mouth filled with a strong raw and earthy smell, along with a hint of bitterness.

And finally, a faint sweetness lingered.

"Delicious!"

"Woof~"

Yet, Minato and Taro were happily eating, savoring the flavors.

"There's a good amount of fat!"

"Woof woof!"

Minato and Taro weren't foolish when it came to taste.

There was a rich flavor of fatty white meat, Hidden beneath the rawness and bitterness.

"I'm full."

"Woof~"

After finishing their meal, Minato and Taro returned to their sleeping spot.

The sleeping spot seemed to have been used by some sort of beast as a den.

Initially, there was a curserer inside the cave, but Taro had vanquished them and claimed it as their dwelling.

Perhaps due to the presence of the curserer, the cave had a peculiar smell.

However, it kept out the rain and wind, leaving both Minato and Taro content.

They didn't have bedding, but thanks to the clothing Sarakia had provided, they weren't cold.

The attire consisted of brownish pants, a long-sleeved shirt, and a gray coat.

The shoes were mid-cut boots made of some kind of leather.

Both the pants and the shirt were made of a mysterious material that offered good breathability, and the coat seemed like it would repel the rain quite well.

As Minato lay on the makeshift bed of gathered weeds, he took out a book.

"I wonder if my magic power has increased?"

"Woof woof~?"

The book was Sarakia tome, a sacred treasure entrusted to Minato when he was reincarnated.

It was covered in leather and about the size of an A5 paper, it's thickness is around two centimeters.

Despite its small size, it was a handy book containing information about Minato and Taro, as well as knowledge about this world.

Moreover, when opened at random, it revealed a page with information Minato wanted to know at that moment.

Of course, it wasn't all-knowing. It could only provide information that Sarakia knew.

The god wasn't omniscient and generally could only see through the eyes of their apostles.

Hence, they didn't know more than what Minato was seeing at the moment.

Nevertheless, it was a very useful book.

"Let's see...?"

"Woof~"

"...Woof."

"Taro's stats haven't changed, but that's okay because he was already amazing!"

"Woof?"

"Yeah. Taro, you're amazing and cool!"

"Woof woof~"

Minato and Taro frolicked and played.

Minato petted Taro, and Taro licked Minato face enthusiastically. After a while, Minato hugged Taro, catching his breath.

"We need to train properly. I have to catch up to you, Taro!"

"Woof~"

Minato didn't know that Taro, who had wished for a "strong and large body" from the Supreme God, possessed extraordinary strength.

Therefore, he thought he was weak and needed to become stronger quickly so as not to be a burden.

The average stats for a normal five-year-old child were around 5.

For adult men, it was about 20.

  Combat professions averaged around 30.

Skilled individuals were around 60, and 100 was considered exceptional.

While Reaching 200 made one a legends.

The number written after the skill is the skill level.

The meaning of level is 0 is just barely able to activate it.

If the magic skill level is 1, it is at a fairly usable level. A level that allows you to use beginner magic once or twice.

If you have level 10, you are an expert, and if you have magic skills at level 20, you can become a court magician

Those in the 30 for magic skill level were rare in a country, and even the Court Archmage was in this range.

Magic users with level 40 were among the best on the continent, and having a level 50 would grant the title of Sage.

Those in level 60 were almost nonexistent in history, becoming legendary figures.

Taro stats were on par with the legendary ancient dragons capable of annihilating nations, or maybe greater than that.

"I need to become stronger too! Let's practice!"

"Bafu-bafu!"

Minato stats were typical for a five-year-old.

However, both Minato and Taro were unaware of just how exceptionally powerful their skills were.
